    • Common Resource Inventory Base
      An important part of knowing how to share our resources is knowing how much of them there are. Common Resource Inventory Base (CRIB) is a starting point for this, attempting to collect survey data of the world's resources, material and goods composition, and productive processes.

    • Commons Advocacy at the UN

      This group will develop three documents:
      1. A listing of SDGs and relevant indicators and time frames that it wishes to advocate among fellow commons organizations and via the United Nations;
      2. Ideas on how these should be framed in terms of values, what they should achieve and how they should be met;
      3. A strategy for building support for them.

      We shall begin with the material provided by the Commons Cluster, Commons Action for the United Nations and the work by Rani El Masri and others for this is immediately available. Our work will grow with input from whoever joins this group.

    • Communicating the Commons
      This group focuses on the communication aspects of the commons as core paradigm for sustainability, as a follow up to the Communicating the Commons Conference, a side event of the Economy and the Commons Conference 2013, and as a place to gather the various streams of work on the subject. Let's post the material that each of us may have and discuss on the forum how we can get organized to continue the discussion effectively. • Institutionalizing the Commons
      Alongside direct action, we need to also work in the institutional field to switch the tendency of regulation away from enclosure. Commons are intimately linked to fundamental rights of people and nature in interrelation, as a means of production and reproduction of life. Commoners should reclaim law and human and nature’s rights that have been eroded, together with a criminalization of protests, by proactively seeking to inscribe the principles of the commons into policy and law, human rights and constitutions, at multiple levels and scales. This group will work on articulating the essential principles of the commons into guidelines for policy making and outlining the provisions that need to be in place to make sure the systemic mechanisms of generation and protection of the commons keep their integrity, avoiding the cooptation and corruption of the spirit of  the laws. We will also gather and build case studies to help people advocate the commons to law and policy makers at their own level of action. Visit the forum and projects to see how we are getting organized.

    • OpenJam
      This all about inclusive music-making in public spaces. The idea is simple: choose a time and place to have an informal jam, create an event on social media and invite people to come. This is not busking for money, this is playing for fun and open for anyone to join in. Further to the music itself, participants are encouraged to invite people to document the jam through sound recording, photography, video, drawing and words in order to provide materials for future multimedia collaborations.

    • Working & Caring
      This group will explore how to recognize “the whole of work”, overcoming the structural divisions between productive work and care work (education, health, eldercare, household level, etc.) and the embedded gender imbalances in the performance of these activities.
